The temporary organizing group led by Mr. Roy Cas facilitated the research and meetings by the group representatives last year. Different agendas concernnig the formation of the Organization, it's officers, fund raising, memberships, org name, registration to Sec and Philcycling are some of the things discussed and now passed on to the elected officials for planning and review. The results was presented last January 10, 2009 at uly's place in paco manila. A more formal meeting will be called by the officials for the inauguration of the officers.
According to participants, the race track is as exciting as ever as it as was fun and extreme a few years back. Rock Gardens, roots and ruts, hightened the challenge including the steepy rolls and jumps heading toward the finish line.
Eusebio Quiñones of Team Commencal / MT PRO Bikes timed-in at 1:43.00 to grab the podium against Aky Nolasco of Chumba Racing 1:53.13 and Boyet Camba of Head Turner / Powerbikes with 1:53.44 who settled for best 3rd place.

The Race Organizers will be implementing the best of 2-run Format to be used during race proper. Trophies, medals and cash prizes awaits winners in Novice (beginner), Intermediate, Pro, and Executive categories. After the podium winnners are awarded, Gregg Minnaar and his Santacruz Syndicate DH Team was named Overall Champion and Overall Team Champion for the World Cup Series 2008 as they manage to grabbed the highest points for the race series.

On the Womens Elite DH, Rachel Atherton (GBR), registered the fastest time of 3:49.92, beating last year's champion, Sabrina Jonnier, pinning jonnier in 2nd place. Josh Bryceland also registered the faster time in the DH Mens Junior.
For the Mens 4X event, Rafael Alvarez de Lara Lucas of Spain (ESP) dominated the course. Also, Melissa Buhl of the USA grabbed the top spot against other competitive Czech female riders Janah Horakova and Romana Labounkova who settled in 2nd and 3rd place respectively. In the Mens MTB Cross-Country race, Christoph Saucer (SUI) won the gold, followed by country-mates Florian Vogel for silver and Ralph Naef for the bronze medal.

Manila - Team DHcrew will be hosting the final leg of the FOX Philippine Downhill series dubbed "REUNION SA GROTTO" to be held at Grotto Brgy San Rafael, Montalban Rizal on June 27-28, 2009.
This exciting event will be attending by the best Downhill riders from different part of the country.
Categories are: Beginners, Executive, Semi pro and Pro.
Registration fee will be 500 pesos with free Lunch and race event tshirts.
"10 bicycles will be donated to GMA7 Kapuso Foundation".
Manila - An alarming situation came to our notice that an alleged scammer "Jose Luis Erik Balana" is victimizing a lot of our fellow riders online. The alleged person is selling frames and bike parts at a very low and seducing price as it is really hard to resist. The public is warned to take extra precautions as the scammer knows how to make the interested buyer believe that the transaction is safe and legal. He introduces himself well and even tells stories and other tales that he knows this person\s just to get in the mood for his advantage. He will be asking for you to deposit your payment or your money in his bank account or send it via money sending centers, by giving his name which might not be his true name but was able to receive the money from the source by maybe using false identification documents.
Baguio City - The Philippine Downhill Racing community mourns the lost of fellow rider Epoy Molina who died last sunday in an accident during practice run in camp john hay baguio city. His remains will be lying at the Arlington funeral Homes in Araneta Avenue in Quezon city. For those who wish to see him, the family will be ready to recieve friends and co-workers at 7 p.m. tonight, march 30.
Timberland, Rizal - Last May 1, 2009, the 2nd YKK Trading and Ross Cycle Center DH Challenge was held at Timberland Heights in san mateo rizal. Eleazar Barba won against his cousin Joey Barba by a fraction of a second who crashed before the finish line. In the semi-pro division, Hanzel John Valmocena of Team Haooh placed first followed by Rick Abad of Team MTG / Groundzero and Ryan Solinap of Dirt Dawg. International rider and Asian MX Champ Glenn Aguilar dominated the Beginners category followed by the fast and young Jerich Farr who settled in 2nd place. The Executive group proved to be fast and furious as Bonggie Buenazena rampaged the course against tough competitor joel vana, alvin alvar, eugenio malabanan, louie acedera, and lex evangelista.
Philippines - Fox Racing Shox in cooperation with Bentspoke proudly presents: Fox Philippine DH Tour 2009. A 5 leg series to be held in different locations with a UCI world cup-like format. The series will challenge our racers as a point system for the seeding and final run will be implemented. According to Mr. Edgar "Nono" Pornel, the rider who wins in a leg will be carrying the leaders jersey (which is the same leaders jersey worn by Sam Hill) and be passed on to another incase a different rider wins in the next leg or be retained by the former. Different Dh courses are chosen in different locations in the country, designed to accelerate adrenalin-pumping action and pose excitement to the dh community and expectators.
Manila - The temporary Organizing group composed of representatives from different racing teams of the DH community is pleased to announce the elected officials for the DH Organization. The eight Officials are as follows: Mr. Jong Narciso, Mr. Erwin Benipayo, Mr. Allan Morales, Mrs. Athena Mendoza, Mr. Aky Nolasco, Mr. Arjuna Saulo, Mr. Jay Teodoro, and Mr. Bob Collantes. These Officials were voted by the different racing teams from Luzon last december 2008.
San Fernando City, La Union - The long awaited return of the DH race in La Union was finally held last November 23, 2008. G-net Bikes once again revived the exciting sport of Downhill Racing in the province. DH Racers and enthusiasts from NCR, Northern Luzon and other parts of the country made their way to participate and enjoy the extreme race course called the 'Abot Trail' that the organizers had prepared for the event.
OCTOBER - Dirt Dawg Bikeshop in cooperation with Hans-Gee Enterprises, City of Tagaytay, Department of Tourism, Roatary Club os CEPZ, and Kamikaze, is proud to announce "Transcend Tagaytay Extreme" - The first Downhill Mountainbike and 4-Cross race in tagaytay city. The DH event will be held in Poppy's Trail at Brgy. Bagong Tubig while the 4X will be at the vacant lot beside the Tagaytay International Convention Center (TICC). Categories for DH are Open/Elite, INtermediate, Beginners, Executive and Masters. While in the 4X there will be the Open/Elite, Intermediate (Age group), Novice (Age Group), Womens, and Kids Categories.
Los Baños - DH Crew Racing in cooperation with Makiling Team Gravity (MTG) presents, Rock and Roll sa Rockgarden. A DH Fun run to be held at the Rockgarden tracks in Brgy. Tuntungin, University of the Philippines Los Baños (U.P.L.B.) in Los Baños, Laguna on October 5, 2008.
Schladming - The Final stage of the world cup series was held last at schladming, as Sam Blenkinsop of Team Yeti / Fox Racing took the 1st place putting Sam Hill's death defying run to second place, where hill's time suffered as errors occured in his final run. Gee Atherton of Animal Commencal, unable to beat the time of Sam Hill, settled for 3rd bumping Steave Peat to 4th place.
Quebec - Sam Hill regained his top spot as he took the win for Round #5 of the World Cup series, placing Greg Minaar in second place as Steve Peat held the 3rd spot. With his win, he ragained the leaders jersey which Minaar grabbed at round #4. At the same time Hill topped in the points as he also won in the qualifying round earning the maximum 250pt for the round.

Trentino, Italy - Gee Atherton captured the gold medal for Great Britain (GBR) as he won in the Mens Elite category of the MTB World Championship at Trentino, Italy. Atherthon rides for Commencal Bikes, but represents Great Britain for this race same with country-mate Steve Peat of Santa Cruz Bikes (GBR) who nervously waited in the hot seat and expecting to
finally grab the Championship as Sam Hill (AUS) washed on the ground after his mega drift, losing his big time advantage as he clocked-in miliseconds only to Peat, But unfortunately Atherton who is the fastest qualifier and the final rider to go down the trail, reached the finish line with 3:13.12, 2.62 seconds faster than Steve Peat, leaving him (peat) with the Silver medal.
